Michael Carl Smith, age 54 of Franklin, TN passed away September 24, 2018.
Mike was born in Preston, CT on October 1, 1963. At the age of 13 he moved with family to Mt. Juliet, TN. From there he attended TN Tech University where he joined the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He graduated from Trevecca University.
After school, he worked with his father in Nashville. Afterwards he embarked on the journey to become an entrepreneur finding success in his own business for 20 years. Mike was active in the Boy Scouts of America and more recently supported Water for People, a charity that brings clean drinking water to those in need worldwide.
Preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Mary Smith. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Cheryl Smith of Franklin, TN; sons, Erik Smith of Savannah, GA and Mark Smith of Bloomington, IN; brothers, Glenn Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Thomas (Neva) Smith of Cookeville, TN; sister, Nancy (Jeff) Montenay of Mt. Juliet, TN and many other loving family members.
Celebration of Life will be 6:00PM Thursday, September 27, 2018 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
