Barbara Gail Ledbetter Daugherty, 65, of Franklin died at Vanderbilt Medical Center on September 8th after a brief illness.
She was born in Columbia, TN on May 24, 1952. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church at 7:00 pm Monday September 11th and will be officiated by David Filson. The family will visit with friends from 5:00-7:00 pm in the sanctuary. Burial will proceed the memorial service at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
Barbara was the daughter of Mrs. Joan Ledbetter and the late Keith Ledbetter. She is survived by her husband, Michael F. Daugherty; sons Dave Tompkins (Sheridon) of Chattanooga, Destin Tompkins (Kristen) of Nashville, and Kurtis Curran; step daughter Sarah Daugherty, one sister, Anabel Stevens (Ronald) of Bandana, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Taylor, Daniel, Claiborne, Shelby Tompkins and Lucas Price; niece and nephew, Matt Stevens of Kevil, Kentucky and Courtney Stevens of Nashville; and beloved cousins.
Anyone who met Barbara witnessed her incredible faith and unfailing love. She was a charter member of Christ Presbyterian Church, served as the compliance officer for Taylor Companies for 31 years and spent her free time hiking, birding, and exploring National Parks with her husband. She also enjoyed working puzzles with her grandchildren and vacationing at Fort Walton Beach with her family.
Pallbearers will be Matt Stevens, Jeff Ward, Jerry Hutcheson, William Taylor, Chris Harris, Jake Stansell, Jeff Cantwell, and Ben Sottek.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church.
