Nolensville’s Goat Guys Aid Metro Water Dept With Big Project

Goat Guys Work in Nashvill

The Goat Guys, based out of Nolensville, are working on a big project in Nashville along the Cumberland River for Metro Water Department.

Their goats are responsible for cleaning 20 acres of terrain too dangerous for equipment.

Who are “the Goat Guys”? Joshua Delozier and David Daily have fondly become known as “the goat guys” as they have made a business out of using their herd of goats to clear brush and create pasture in places that are too difficult for people or machines to work.

For the project along the Cumberland River, “Delozier erected a temporary electrified fence around a four-acre section. He plans to work his goats along the steep slope that protects a major office park from the Cumberland River. Delozier says he will saw down anything his goats miss. The city contract is the largest job to-date for his three-year-old company, Goat Guys, based in Nolensville,” reports NPR.

Using goats to clear land has become a great option for city owned lands (like parks) as well as residential properties as it is a chemical free approach to enhancing lands. Below, you can watch a video about The Goat Guys that Williamson Source created in 2014, just as Delozier and Daily were beginning their business.
