K9s Keep Cool with Heat Protection Vests

Franklin K9 Team

Thanks to one 11-year-old’s summertime community project, K9s across Williamson County will be presented with special heat protection vests.

Jeffrie Prendergast collected money for cooling vests which will help protect K9s from dangerous summer heat. Jeffrie placed three donation jars labeled with his message in different locations throughout Franklin, raising more that $400 for his Kool K9 Project. The money raised purchased 10 cooling vests for area K9s.

Jeffrie invited State Representative Jeremy Durham to make the vest presentation on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, 408 Century Court, in Franklin, TN. K9s and their partners from The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Police Department, Brentwood Police Department, Spring Hill Police Department, and Fairview Police Department will accept the generous donation and thank Jeffrie for a job well done.
