One employee shot another at a Spring Hill Burger King Thursday night. The victim was taken to the hospital and the shooter is in custody.
Police responded at 8:05 p.m. to 4883 Port Royal Road after an altercation between the two men led to the shooting, according to Spring Hill Police Public Information Officer Lt. Justin Whitwell. Emergency responders helicoptered the victim, shot several times but in stable condition, to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The alleged shooter, 19-year-old Antares Heller, fled on foot from police before his arrest. Police then took him for questioning to the Spring Hill Police Department.
He was later charged with attempted criminal homicide, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
Allegedly Garcia, not working, came into the Burger King. There he argued with, then came over the counter and shot, the on-duty victim.
We will update the story as more details are released.
