Williamson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Looney will take a medical leave due to health issues. He recently learned that he has a tumor in his pancreas, said WCS Communications Director Carol Birdsong via e-mail. Dr. Looney will have surgery and undergo treatment over the next several weeks.
Exact dates of Dr. Looney’s leave are not known at this time, but Deputy Superintendent Jason Golden will lead the district while Dr. Looney is out of the office.
Dr. Looney appreciates your positive thoughts and support but requests no cards, emails, texts, etc., added Birdsong.
