The 15th annual River Swing to benefit Harpeth Conservancy will take place on Saturday, October 6 at River Circle Farm in Franklin (1041 Sneed Road West) beginning at 5 p.
Christian Currey, Vice Chair of the Harpeth Conservancy Board of Directors and Founder of FarmVet, is co-chairing the event along with his wife, Kathryn Currey and his parents, Agneta and Brownlee Currey. The Curreys are honored to host the event at their farm along the banks of the scenic Harpeth River.
Entertainment for the evening includes “Jo-Jo” Hermann of Widespread Panic, Joe Andrews of Old Crow Medicine Show, Ben Cameron and Tom Landstreet from The Cameroons, with special musical guests Steve Cropper, Gramps Morgan and more.
“The Harpeth River means so much to our family and the community that surrounds it,” said Event Co-Chair, Christian Currey. “From recreation to drinking water, agriculture and environment, ensuring the Harpeth is thriving is important to everyone in Middle Tennessee. We’re proud to support a cause that does just that.”
River Swing is expected to draw more than 600 guests and is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization, which not only raises funds but increases awareness about the mission and work of the organization, according to Dorie Bolze, President and CEO of Harpeth Conservancy. River Swing is one of few zero-waste events in the area. The event organizers work with The Compost Company, Puckett’s and Whole Foods to make sure that every item used is recyclable, compostable or reusable.

- $1,000 gift certificate for Wildland Trekking;
- A private guided canoe trip for 12 down the Harpeth River with a wilderness expert and a picnic at a private landowner’s property;
- A seven night stay in a 3 bedroom unit at The Pointe, a new luxury hotel in Inlet Beach, FL
- Party for up to 50 at Little Harpeth Brewing Company
Food will be provided by Puckett’s, and Lipman Brothers will donate beverages for the evening (including an Old Hickory Mule as the featured drink), along with water from Real Water. Desserts are being donated by Baked in Nashville, Cake Filled Memories, d.Kates Catering, Ivey Cakes, Noshville New York Delicatessen, Triple Crown Bakery, and Schakolad.
Tickets to River Swing are $175/person or Tables of 10 for $1,750 and are available at www.riverswing.org. Corporate Sponsorships are also available.
