10 Places to Dine on Valentine’s Day

Mother’s Day is still the most popular day for dining out but in second place is Valentine’s Day. Research from National Restaurant Association shows that one-quarter of Americans surveyed will be dining out on Valentine’s Day this year which happens to fall on a Wednesday, while others will celebrate on the weekend.

3. The Mockingbird Restaurant

A set menu with four courses will be served at The Mockingbird for $44.95 per person. First course choices are short rib crostini or shrimp cocktail hearts. Second course – Valentine salad of candied pecan, sangria poached pear, blue cheese with champagne vinaigrette. Main course option include chicken, NY strip, baked Atlantic Salamon, or duck breast followed by several choices of dessert. Reservations are recommended.

4. Frothy Monkey

The Frothy Love 3-course dinner returns this year to Franklin. It is the perfect approachable way to celebrate Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day. This prix fixe menu will be available after 5 pm on Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14th. Enjoy an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a shared dessert for $50 per couple, with the option to add a bottle of our hand-picked Valentine’s Day wine for only $20. 6. Puckett’s Columbia

Serving from its regular menu with specials available after 5 p.m., including blackened Ahi tuna with a whiskey glaze, grilled asparagus and rice pilaf ($25); Hanger Steak with Chimichurri sauce, baked potato and steamed broccoli ($31) and chocolate cheesecake ($6). Puckett’s Columbia is also hosting a “Swing, Dance and Dinner” event on Friday, Feb. 16 from 6 – 9p.
