Roper’s 10-run Helps FRA beat Goodpasture in OT

Running back Adrian Roper had 129 yards while quarterback Spence Jones went 5-for-13 for 77 passing yards as FRA won its first game of the season 21-14 over Goodpasture in overtime.

Roper’s 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter forced overtime, but the FRA (1-1) won in overtime on his 10-yard touchdown run that Goodpasture was unable to counter.

FRA jumped out to an early first quarter lead when Sam Harvin caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Jones to make it 7-0. Neither team scored until Goodpasture tied the game in the third quarter.

FRA will play again on the road against Boyd-Buchanan School in Chattanooga. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. eastern time.
