WCACAC Welcomes Dr. Debra Burch to the Team

Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center (WCACAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Debra Burch of Franklin, as chief veterinarian for the facility. Dr. Burch joined the staff August 12, 2013 and will serve as a full-time on-site veterinarian for all the animals in the care of the shelter. Dr. Burch is a 2003 graduate of North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She has served as a veterinarian with several Middle Tennessee clinics, including the last seven years at Hermitage Animal Clinic.

In addition to overseeing medical care and disease control policies at the WCACAC, Dr. Burch will focus on the mandatory sterilization surgeries required by the shelter for all adopted animals. She will also provide ongoing training for shelter staff, and advise the director, Laura Chavarria, on medical matters.
