As reported on Thursday, a Tennessee Lottery player who purchased a Powerball ticket in Munford (Tipton County) shared in the historic, world record-breaking jackpot of $1.58 Billion with a winner in California and a winner in Florida, after the drawing held Wednesday, January 13.
Nationwide the Powerball mania was insane with the biggest jackpot in history. A Tennessee family has come forward with a ticket that could be one of the three winners. John Robinson and his wife Lisa bought four tickets at Naifeh’s Food Mart near their home in Munford, Tennessee, at 6:56 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Robinson said he always buys his tickets with numbers representing the four members of their family, with the computer choosing the winning numbers of 04, 08, 19, 27, 34 and Powerball 10.
The three lucky winners will split the colossal jackpot resulting in $528.8 million prize for each winner. This is the second Powerball jackpot winner in Tennessee in a row. Also in Tennessee, there was one $2 million winner, one $100,000 winner and 17 $50,000 winners.
The Robinsons appeared on The Today Show on Friday morning and multiple sources report they will be visit Lottery headquarters in Nashville to get their tickets verified.
