Special Olympics Williamson County Partners with Spring Hill Sports Association

Special Olympics Williamson Co. partners with Spring Hill Sports Association

Spring Hill Sports Association is partnering with Special Olympics Williamson County to better serve the city of Spring Hill and create sports opportunities for youth with intellectual disabilities.

Spring Hill Sports Association, also known as the Spring Hill Hawks, provides youth sports opportunities in Spring Hill. The organization will now offer sport-specific training for youth with intellectual disabilities who may not participate in other local sports. The goal of these clinics is to provide activities to develop physical fitness and experience the joy of being part of a team.

This year, the group plans to host a soccer clinic and a flag football skills camp. The goal is that athletes grow in ability and confidence. In the future, both organizations have plans to offer Unified Sports, a program that pairs athletes (individuals with disabilities) and partners (individuals without disabilities) together to compete in team sports.
