Rita Wilson (yes, the same Rita Wilson who is married to Tom Hanks and is known for countless films like “Sleepless in Seattle”) made her Opry debut last year and now she’s back in Nashville for two shows.
She will play June 7th at 11:45am at CMA Fest. You can watch her at the Budweiser Forever Country Stage (located behind Ascend Amphitheater) for free.
Then, on June 9th she will play with Kristian Bush (one half of Sugarland) at City Winery.
Rita and Kristian have embarked on an eight-date tour in June.
Wilson just released a new video on Facebook for “Throw Me a Party” a song she says “is a story I wanted to tell about how you’d like to be remembered after you pass. So many wonderful responses from people sharing their family stories.” The song was co-written with Kristian Bush and Liz Rose.
Watch it below. Tickets are on sale now for the City Winery show here.
