Mill Creek Brewing Company
The brewery is co-owned by Chris Going and Michael Krewson who met while teaching music at St. Edward’s School in Nashville. Brewing beer was a hobby for both Going and Krewson beginning in 2010. After two years of brewing in their garages, Going and Krewson decided to go for it big and start their own brewery. Updates on their Facebook page include the delivery of tanks and prototypes (photo above). We don’t have an official opening date, they are holding an event at the Adventure Science Center on the Science of Beer to coincide with the 7th release of the Star Wars movie, learn more here about the event.
GUAC Mexican Grill
Opening their first location in 2011 in Donelson, GUAC Mexican Grill has grown to include two other locations with a fourth location that recently opened in Franklin on Highway 96. Guac is a family owned business known for its made to order Mexican inspired meals. Learn more about GUAC Mexican Grill on their Facebook page.
Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse (formerly Mickey Roo’s)
Hit TV ‘Nashville’ star & Franklin residents, Jonathan Jackson and Steve Burton, have teamed up to open the new restaurant in the former Mickey Roo’s location called Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse. We have reached out for an opening date but have yet to hear back. Their Facebook page says it will be “family-friendly, world class restaurant & music venue Franklin needs.”
Trattoria A Franklin
A new Italian restaurant opened on West Main Street in Franklin. Opening just a few weeks ago, Trattoria A promises a farm to Italy experience with fresh made brushchetta, handmade pastas, and breads. Seating only 27 patrons, the vision was to have a neighborhood place inspired by small towns in Italy. At Trattoria A, you will find imported ingredients to ensure the taste of Italy.
