Major League Baseball’s Robert Hassell III stopped by Oak View Elementary on Thursday, November 20 to visit with students as well as his former teachers.
The Washington Nationals outfielder attended Oak View and Heritage Middle before graduating from Independence High. Hassell reminded the students about the importance of getting a good education and encouraged them to always chase their dreams.
