If you love ribs then you are going to love the slow cooked flavor of Judge Beans Texas Style Ribs. In a down home relaxed atmosphere, the smell hits you upon entering the restaurant, awakening taste buds for the good food you are about to eat.
Located off Church Street in Brentwood, Judge Beans promises, “We want you to get good, home-cooked food straight off the pit, side dishes that will make your mouth water and and an experience that is unique to our place.”
Slow-cooked for six hours the ribs simply fall off the bone. The smoky taste makes you imagine a big grill out in the back-yard, brushing bar-b-que sauce over the ribs till their cooked “just right.”
While the mission for this review was to try Judge Beans Ribs, I have to admit that everything my family ordered was simply wonderful. And while I’m admitting how good the food is, you might be interested to know that your’s truly is not the ribs lover in the family. Until now.
Starting the meal with the chips, smoked salsa and an iced cold beer for my husband, allowed us to sit a few minutes and look around at the “homey” atmosphere. Tin roof, flags of Texas and some critters too, makes for a comfortable place to eat.

We also ordered the Brisket that was flavored to perfection, tender to cut and every bite enjoyed.
Rounding out our order was the black bean and chicken tacos, served with sides of cheese fries and macaroni and cheese. Not a scrap of food remained when our sons had finished eating.
You could tell that the locals love the place as while we were waiting on our table, the bar was full of men who all seemed to know each other. Business men, families and friends all seemed to be sharing in the same experience we were.
