FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: FRA gets first win; GCA loses big

FRA 34 at Ezell-Harding 7

Franklin Road Academy finally got on the winning side of things Friday.

After starting the season 0-5, the Panthers (1-5) cruised to a 34-7 victory over the Ezell-Harding Eagles (3-4).

FRA stays on the road in Week 8 at Lipscomb Academy (3-2). The Mustangs beat Montgomery Central 34-0 on Friday.

GCA 21 vs. Columbia Academy 57

The Grace Christian Academy Lions couldn’t back up their first win of the season with a victory on Friday.

Columbia Academy (5-0, 5-0) traveled to GCA (1-5, 1-4) and handled the Lions 57-21.

With the loss GCA falls to 1-4 in Region 4-1A. The Lions currently are sixth in the region standings ahead of their matchup at Mt. Pleasant (0-6, 0-4) next week.
