Beat the Heat and Visit Your Local Library

Your local library has something going on to help you beat the heat and stay cool while learning or just enjoying your free time. On Thursday, June 27th the computer lab at the main library is hosting a class from 2-4 p.m. on Reference USA Database. The Reference USA database is a great information resource for job seekers researching companies, businesses creating mailing lists, locating alumni and more, plus it is made available for free via your library. Registration is required.

Saturday, June 29th you can dig into organic gardening from 10 a.m. to Noon. Learn about organic gardening with John Cahill, from sowing seeds to harvesting. The Teen Girl Book Club meets at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30th. Join them for a discussion of Fever 1793 by Laurie Anderson in the Story Theater. Young ladies 13 and up are welcome, and treats will be served.
