Earlier this month, US Youth Soccer announced participants in their annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Boys Thanksgiving Interregional and the Boys Florida Interregional tournaments. As part of these tournaments, eight representatives of Tennessee Soccer Club will be part of these two tournaments.

The Thanksgiving Interregional will take place November 23rd through November 27th at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Arizona, with eight teams consisting of 140 players from around the country in the 2003 and 2004 (birth year) age groups selected by regional coaches. For Tennessee Soccer Club, Chas Cross, Jonathan Preston, Landon Robbins, Eli Stein, Ricky Ybarra, and Forrest Wells will participate as part of the South regional teams.

Eli Stein said of the opportunity, “My TSC teammates are amazing players. Being selected with them to this national event is an honor. I am so grateful for this opportunity to play with them at a really good competition and represent my team, TSC, TN Soccer and Region 3 (South).”

Landon Robbins added, “It’s an honor to be selected to represent Tennessee Soccer Club, the State of Tennessee and Region 3 at the interregional event in Arizona. I look forward to competing with and against my teammates and some of the other top players from across the country. I’m excited for the opportunity to showcase my talent and grow as a player at this prestigious national event.”

From November 29th through December 3rd, Tennessee Soccer Club’s Preston Price and Will Turner in the 2001 age group will be in Bradenton, Florida at the Florida Interregionals, where 210 players in the 2000, 2001, and 2002 age groups will meet.

The interregionals annually attract college coaches and US soccer scouts. The talent on display allows coaches and scouts to evaluate players in a high-level environment.
