Wicked is based on the 1995 best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire and is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Many of us are familiar with the tale of The Wizard of Oz. Wicked tells the tale of what might have happened before Dorothy arrived in Oz and how two young girls–one born with emerald-green skin, the other beautiful and popular, become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. It is a wonderful, funny take on a beloved story. It has won 50 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards.
