Country superstar Shania Twain is making her acting debut this month in “Trading Paint” with John Travolta, releasing Feb. 22.
Twain was recently a judge on the reality show “Real Country.”
This is not Twain’s first movie experience. She made a cameo in 1997 “That Don’t Impress Me Much” but this will be her first acting debut.
Shania plays the role of Becca, a love interest for Sam (John Travolta), who is a dirt track race car driver in the midst of learning perseverance and how to overcome difficulties of losing a race.
“I enjoyed it and I enjoyed getting to know John. He’s a very sweet person. I’ve known him for several years now just on short little chats, but now [working on] this movie, we got to know each other a little bit better. I’m just lucky to have this film experience because he’s been very nurturing. He coached me through it,” Twain told Sounds Like Nashville.
Filmed in Alabama, Twain recently posted on Instagram, “I can’t wait for you all to see this 😘 Trading Paint. In theaters February 22nd!! @johntravolta”
