Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the City of Brentwood invited a few community members to Ravenswood Mansion on Tuesday, February 13 to celebrate the winners of their “Romantic Wedding” giveaway contest. Valued at $28,000, the wedding package was given to George and Whitney. The winning couple got their first look inside the mansion where they will say “I do” in just nine months.
As of Monday, February 12, more than 8,129 votes were cast in the contest, which began on December 31, 2017. Couples were asked to submit a video about their love story and why they should win. Submissions closed January 31, 2018 and a panel of City of Brentwood employees, citizens, and event industry professionals narrowed down the video submissions to the top five entries. The top five entries went live on YouTube February 7, 2018, where the voting is up to the public to decide the winner.
