Hits & Grins is a trio of talented writers/performers from Nashville who present an extremely entertaining evening filled with great stories, hit songs and comedy. And you can catch them Saturday, Aug 26th at Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant in downtown Franklin at 8:30p. Cover charge is $12.

The band is made up of Steve Dean, Bill Whyte and Victoria Venier. Their songs have been recorded by George Strait, Alabama, Rhonda Vincent, Ray Stevens, Colt Ford, Reba McEntire, Cledus T. Judd and many others.

Steve Dean has written six #1 hits including Song of the Year- “Watching You” for Rodney Atkins, “Round About Way” for George Strait, “Walk On” for Reba McEntire, “Southern Star” for Alabama, “It Takes A Little Rain” for The Oak Ridge Boys and “Hearts Aren’t Made To Break” for Lee Greenwood.

Bill’s unique presentation of funny and twisted songs makes him a favorite everywhere he entertains. His tribute to AARP “Retired” was recorded by Ray Stevens and is always a crowd favorite. Bill’s song “I’m Gain’ Ugly Early Tonight” was recorded by Cledus T. Judd and is the perfect howling climax for his routine. However, there is also a serious side to Bill which has resulted in many songs being written/recorded with songwriters and artists like. Bill has also won numerous broadcast awards including the CMA Award (Country Music Association) for large market “Broadcast Personality of the Year.” You can still hear him occasionally on 650 WSM-AM in Nashville.
