Franklin Media Executive Receives KY Highest Honor

The Commonwealth of Kentucky has awarded President & CEO of Guestbooker.com LLC George Uribe with the highest honor of Kentucky Colonel. Presented with the award on November 2, Uribe joins a distinguished group of individuals recognized for their public service. Commissions as Kentucky Colonels are presented for contributions to community, state, and nation, along with other special achievements. Kentucky Colonels serve as the state of Kentucky’s ambassadors of good will and fellowship around the world.

“From the moment I met George, he was so focused on how he could serve the mission of the USO. The program and services of USO Fort Campbell and Nashville and the efforts that go beyond are directly impacted by George’s service for our military. His genuine tenacity for service has included support with manual labor to major gift fundraising. It’s that kind of roll-up your sleeves and complete the mission at hand attitude that he has shown the USO and supported our service members,” said Kari Moore, Center Director of USO Nashville and USO Fort Campbell.

Fort Campbell Director of Public Affairs Bob Jenkins added, “George is an exceptionally talented and organized individual. Consummate networker and motivator, George’s honorable passion for service are a true inspiration. He is incredible to work with, having the talent to propose ideas with lasting consequences for the greater good. A truly admirable person that I am glad to know and have worked alongside.”

“George has always been supportive of the U.S. Military and very deserving of this Award,” said Van Hipp, Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army.

Founded in 1932 by Governor Ruby Laffoon, The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels has since been officially incorporated as a charitable organization, contributing thousands of dollars to worthy causes. Once a year, Kentucky Colonels from all over the world gather for a celebration of fellowship in the true spirit of Kentucky hospitality. The Kentucky Colonel certificate signed by the Governor and Secretary of State bears the Great Seal of Kentucky, which has hung on the walls of renowned leaders President Lyndon B. Johnson and the English Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
