Division II-A
BGA Wildcats – The BGA boys are playing at a high level, winning 7 of their last 9 games. During that stretch, the Wildcats have topped Davidson Academy, Zion Christian, Ezell-Harding, and two wins over both University School of Nashville and the Webb School. BGA finishes the season against Zion Christian. The Wildcats currently sit at 10-11, 7-4 in regional play. BGA is tied for 4th in the East/Middle region of Division II-A.
The Lady Wildcats have dropped three straight since winning five straight. The BGA ladies have wins this season over St. Cecilia, Zion Christian, Davidson Academy twice, and University School of Nashville twice. BGA wraps up against Zion Christian. The Lady Wildcats are currently 6-5 in regional play, and will finish either fifth or sixth in the East/Middle Region.
FRA Panthers – After a January 5th loss to Ensworth, FRA has won 11 straight and are currently undefeated in the East/Middle region, and have wrapped up the regional crown. The Panthers finish their regular season at the Webb School.
The Lady Panthers finished the regular season 19-2, 9-0 in the region and clinching the regional crown. The FRA girls are riding a 9-game winning streak into the postseason.
Division II-AA
Brentwood Academy Eagles – Despite a current 2-game losing streak, the Eagles are still ranked number 1 in the state at the Division II level with a 20-3, 6-1 regional record. Losses have come to Ensworth and Hamilton Heights from Chattanooga, while the Eagles have recent wins over Pope John Paul II, Father Ryan, and Baylor. The Eagles look to right the ship this week against McCallie and MBA.
The Lady Eagles currently sit at 18-5, 7-0 in regional play and are ranked number 1 in the state as well. The BA girls also fell to Hamilton Heights, but have wins over Father Ryan, Baylor, and Ensworth. This week, BA plays Girls Preparatory and Harpeth Hall.
Father Ryan Fighting Irish – The Fighting Irish currently sit at 12-12, 2-7 in regional play. Since the end of January, Father Ryan has wins over MBA and Baylor, but have dropped four games during that same time. This week, the Irish face Baylor in the push towards the postseason.
After staring 17-0, the Lady Irish have dropped four of their last six, but have wins over Pope John Paul II and Girls Preparatory in that time. Currently sitting at 19-4, 5-4 in regional play, the Lady Irish are 3rd in their region. The Father Ryan ladies face number 2 Baylor in an effort to climb back up the standings.
