Chris Knight will perform at the Franklin Theatre Saturday, October 6. Although Knight is very familiar with Nashville, telling us of times he and other songwriters hung out on Broadway penning what they hoped would be the next big hit, he has never performed at the Franklin Theatre. However it’s not the first time Knight has performed in Franklin. He once had a gig at Bunganut Pig years ago in a songwriters round, he said.

For those who are not familiar with Knight – he is a native Kentuckian, singer/songwriter who has cuts with Blake Shelton, Lee Ann Womack, Montgomery Gentry, and John Anderson. He’s been in the business for over 20 years and much like Eddie Montgomery, he maintains his home in rural Kentucky telling us he likes his time in the woods. The former strip-mine inspector has been compared to Cash and John Prine.

Knight has released eight albums; the most recent Little Victories was released in 2012. The audience will hear part of Little Victories Saturday night. It tells the stories of those down on their luck. Fans may even hear some new music too.

For those waiting for a new album, Knight says, “I’m not putting out music I don’t like.” After several dates this fall, he will head to Nashville at the end of 2018, spending time in the studio with a projected release date of Summer 2019.

Saturday night Knight will play a split set – half with a three-piece band and the other half acoustic. Few tickets remain to Chris Knight’s concert on Saturday, purchase your tickets online here.
