A Brentwood man died Monday in a crash on Wilson Pike, according to Brentwood Police.
At approximately 5:24 p.m. Brentwood Police responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash on Wilson Pike at the intersection of Carondelet Place.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Toyota Avalon sedan driven by a person with John Holladay, 70, as the front seat passenger was travelling south on Wilson Pike when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Carondelet Place. As the Toyota was making the turn it was struck on the passenger side by a 2001 Ford F-250 truck which was travelling north on Wilson Pike. The driver and only occupant of the truck were not injured. The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.
Holladay suffered critical injuries and was transported by Williamson County EMS to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
Wilson Pike was closed for approximately three (3) hours while the investigation was conducted. Traffic was detoured through the nearby neighborhood during the closure.
