Deloris Jean Foust passed away on January 4, 2019 at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bobby Foust; daughter Dee Dee Russell (Troy) and their sons, Brandon and Jamey; daughter-in-law Tina Foust; grandchildren Nathan, Celeste, and Bethany; brother Eugene Welch; sister Shirley Stubbs, and niece Sissy Blizzard. She is preceded in death by son Robert Eugene Foust.
Deloris was born in Des Moines, Iowa and served in the US Navy where she met and married Bob, the love of her life. They made their home in Nashville after attending Tennessee Tech University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
Deloris enjoyed painting, quilting and flower arranging. She attended Nashville First Baptist Church for over 40 years, serving in the library and on the flower and history committees. She loved nurturing and educating children as well as serving in missions. Deloris provided a loving home, always putting Christ first in everything she did. Her faith never wavered even in failing health.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Nashville First Baptist Church with Dr. Frank Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm with a family burial to follow the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Home Ministry or the Library of Nashville First Baptist Church located at 108 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203.
