On Monday the construction on the West Main Street Water and Sewer Rehabilitation Project began. New and much needed water and sewer lines are being brought to the area West of Main Street and Fair Street from 7th Avenue to 9th Avenue.
Be prepared for slow traffic and road closures from now until December. Affected streets will rotate so be prepared to detour if you are using Fair Street from 5th to 11th Avenue. Seventh Avenue North from Fair to West Main and Ninth Avenue North from Fair to West Main will be part of the upheaval as will West Main Street.
Just take a deep breath, plan in advance and understand that the area is getting an overdue upgrade. Construction should be complete by December 20th.
