The Franklin Police Department would like to offer the following tips to residents, so they don’t fall victim:

  • When a package arrives, pick it up quickly, or have a neighbor grab it
  • Install a doorbell or surveillance camera. If a theft occurs, call police and share the video footage with authorities
  • If possible, have the package held at a location, such as FedEx, UPS, USPS or an
  • Amazon locker. This is incredibly useful if the delivery item is very expensive. You may even want to have your package delivered to work instead of home
  • In the carrier’s delivery instructions section (if applicable), ask that the package be left out of plain view

For more information, or to report a theft, please contact the Franklin Police Department at (615) 794-2513.
