Perhaps one of the more common things not covered by your homeowner policy is high-value items, like jewelry, art, collections and other unique items.
“Typically, the policy will cover high-priced items to a certain predetermined limit. If you have high-priced jewelry, guns, paintings, rare coins, cash, or collections of things, you will want to add additional insurance on these items to cover the full value of them,” says Underwood.
