Insurance can also protect you if something happens on your property. For example, if a neighbor is in your yard, falls and gets hurt, your insurance may not cover their medical bills. There are many instances that fit into this category. Underwood says that in these cases, “even if the initial medical costs are covered by the insurance company, coverage may be limited to only that.”
