Discovering you have a mold problem is a terrible feeling for a homeowner. I have first-hand experience with this. As water repeatedly splashed the back of my home when it rained, I acquired a mold problem in one of the bedrooms. When I showed my insurance company the damage, I was surprised to hear that mold wasn’t covered as it was considered a regular maintenance issue. The result was a $3500 repair bill, paid completely out of pocket.
