Your favorite 24-hour breakfast spot announced it will have a surcharge on egg items.
In a release, Waffle House shared, ”The continuing egg shortage caused by HPAI (Bird Flu) has caused a dramatic increase in egg prices. Effective February 3, Waffle House has implemented a temporary .50 per egg surcharge to all menus.”
Waffle House did state this is a temporary price increase and chose to have the surcharge instead of increasing prices across all menu items, as well as restating their commitment to serving fresh eggs in their menu items.
They continued, “We are continuously monitoring egg prices and will adjust or remove the surcharge as market conditions allow.”
Waffle House is still taking reservations for Valentine’s Day, where they will offer special menu items along with a white tablecloth experience. Below are the locations offering reservations in our area.
