Franklin Road Academy couldn’t hold a two-touchdown lead against unbeaten Lausanne, falling 35-21 in the second round of the TSSAA Division II Class AA playoffs on Friday.

FRA quarterback Eric Stoxstill-Diggs threw for 142 yards and ran for 66 in his final high school game. He also had three tackles on defense.

Wide receiver Lance Wilhoite, also playing his last high school game, caught both of Stoxstill Diggs’s touchdown throws.

But Lausanne’s Eric Gray had a pair of second-half touchdown runs to break open a 21-all tie.

The Panthers’ Watson Tansil recovered a fumble and had an interception return for a score, and defensive lineman Tymon Mitchell had four tackles and a sack.

Stoxstill-Diggs opened the game with a touchdown pass to Wilhoite, with the Jack Norris point-after putting FRA up, 7-0.

Moments later, Tansil picked up an interception and ran it back 37 yards for a score.

Lausanne answered with another touchdown pass, but then, Stoxstill-Diggs hit Wilhoite with another scoring strike, this one, from 20 yards.

Lausanne cut the lead to 21-13 at half.

FRA ends its season at 5-7.
