Fairview advanced to the quarterfinals of the TSSAA Class 3A playoffs by knocking off Giles County, 27-6, in Fairview on Friday.
The Yellowjackets’ Darius James ran 30 times for 209 yards and two scores. That was part of a 49-carry, 337-yard rushing effort for Fairview.
Kam Harris-Lusk was 7-of-11 passing for 75 yards and a score, that, a 10-yard toss going to running back Brendon Nardozzi.
Fairview’s defense held Giles County to 219 total yards, while its offense had 422.
The Yellowjackets (9-3) travel to Pearl Cohn (10-2) next week.
