Edmondson Elementary Physical Education (PE) teacher Dan Quesenberry has earned state honors.

The Tennessee Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD) named Quesenberry the Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year at its convention in Murfreesboro October 30.

“I am humbled and honored to receive such a prestigious award to represent Edmondson Elementary and Williamson County Schools,” Quesenberry said. “Physical Education is my passion, and I truly enjoy instilling a love for movement in kids.”

TAHPERD’s goal is to promote a physically-active lifestyle in Tennesseans, and Quesenberry is taking that mission to heart at Edmondson Elementary. He wants to help his students long after they leave the school.

“My goal is to teach physical literacy and develop confidence in kids so they know how to move safely and efficiently for the rest of their lives,” Quesenberry said.
