Page High JROTC Earns Honor of Distinction

The Page High Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (JROTC) passed its JROTC Program of Accreditation review with flying colors.

Every three years, the US Army Cadet Command reviews every JROTC unit. Three Page High JROTC cadets rose to the occasion and began planning activities throughout the year in order to meet the review’s requirements. Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Madison Haack and her team, Cadet Major German Schwartz and Cadet Command Sergeant Major Harper Biggs, took charge of the planning.

The inspection happened at the beginning of April. Every aspect of the unit was observed, including drill and color guard performances, service projects, continuous improvement projects and interviews with both cadets and instructors.

At the end of the inspection, the unit’s score was high enough to earn it the Honor Unit of Distinction Award.

“They were excited to hear they received 98 out of 100 points,” said Page High JROTC instructor Col. Eric Goslowsky. “Page High’s cadet leadership met this challenge head-on.”
