OBITUARY: Martha Mai Daniel

Martha Mai Daniel, age 88, resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center.

Martha was born July 24, 1937, in Franklin, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Howard Miles Spears and the late Clarcie Beard Spears. She worked on the Bonds farm in Bethesda planting and stripping tobacco in addition to Georgia Boot and CPS in Franklin and numerous restaurants and nursing homes. She loved her Family dearly and always raised her children to be kind to others and to have respect for everyone, regardless of their walk of life. Martha loved country music, and any Hank Williams song would immediately have her singing! She lived life to the fullest and really knew how to laugh and enjoy the moment!

She is survived by three sons, Tommy Daniel, Wendell Louis Daniel, and Kenny Ray Daniel, and sister, Evelyn Faye Burns Spears of Santa Fe.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Killen Daniel and her son Mike Eugene Daniel, siblings, Marvin Denzil Spears, James Enos Walton, Carl Thomas Walton, Elmer Louis Spears, Velma Gladys Walton Cox, Mary Louise Walton Spears, Ruby Marvene Spears Burns, and Daisy Lee Walton Burns.
