Independence, funny as it sounds in just the third game of the season, might have a do-or-die game this week.
The Eagles, after two undefeated regular seasons, are in danger of starting this year 0-3.
Centennial, on the other hand, will look for revenge after getting knocked out of the playoffs two years in a row against the Eagles.
Both teams come off losses, with Centennial losing 56-21 to Hendersonville and Indy losing 31-17 to Summit last week.
For Centennial, this will be their third straight away game. For the Eagles this is their first home game of the season.
Expect the Eagles to be ready. Coach Scott Blade is known for making in-season and game to game adjustments. His teams get better as the season goes on. A playoff birth may be on the line.
The Eagles game against Summit saw the Indy offense struggle. Look for things to be tighter this week.
As for Centennial, under second-year head coach Matt Kriesky, who has a defensive pedigree, look for a hard-fought game.
Yards and points will not be easy to come by this week for either team.
