Fairview fell to 2-2 with a 50-49, triple-overtime loss at Waverly Central on Friday, despite the best efforts of do-it-all star Darius James.
James ran back the opening kickoff for a score, then scored a pair of first-half rushing touchdowns, the last, a 20-yard scamper putting Fairview up, 21-14.
Fairview’s Khristian Harris-Lusk had a pair of rushing scores, and Kam Harris-Lusk threw a 76-yard TD to Hunter Caldwell.
Fairview (2-2) travels to Camden Central next week.
