L.L.Bean is set to open its first-ever Tennessee store at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin on Friday, July 17, with a grand opening at 8:45 a.m., bringing the iconic outdoor lifestyle brand’s signature apparel, footwear and gear to Middle Tennessee for the first time. More Local Living News
Ahead of the opening, L.L.Bean’s 13-foot-tall Bootmobile will make appearances throughout the Franklin area, including stops at The Franklin Butchery, Hank’s Coffee Station, Leiper’s Fork Distillery and a Nashville Sounds game, giving locals a chance to experience the brand before and during opening weekend. If you have never had the chance to shop at the store, we spoke with an L.L. Bean representative who shared the most coveted items you can find in Franklin.
Bean Boots– The revolutionary idea of Leon Leonwood Bean was first called the Maine Hunting Shoe. It’s now the brand’s most iconic product and probably the most recognized piece of footwear.
Tote Bags-Originally created in 1944, it was first called the “ice carrier” and was designed to haul ice. It was reintroduced in 1965 as the Boat and Tote and is known for its durability.
Carefree Unshrinkable Tees– This is a line of 100 percent cotton t-shirts that are treated to resist shrinking, wrinkling, and fading. It comes in a traditional fit and a slightly fitted fit for a more tailored fit.
Bean Sport Swimwear– It is known for its functional design. The swimwear also provides UPF 50+ sun protection.
Backpacks– just in time for back to school. These backpacks are durable, made for school or work with comfortable straps and roomy compartments. Some claim they will last for decades.
