Located at 2000 Meridian Boulevard, a note on the door stated, “Thank you, Franklin! This location will be permanently closed as of Monday, July 27th, as our lease comes to an end.”
It continued, “We’re so grateful for the ten wonderful years of biscuits, gravy, and good company with this community. We hope to see you at one of our other Tupelo Honey locations real soon!”
The location has been removed from the restaurant’s website.
Tupelo Honey opened in 2015, with its beginnings in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2000. This location was the company’s first expansion in Tennessee. They currently have locations in Knoxville and Chattanooga.
