About Praire Life
Prairie Life Fitness opened back in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1985. The two original partners, Dean Rasmussen and Bob Kerrey wanted to offer a full-service club that focused on health and fitness activities for the entire family and for people of all ages and abilities. The 60,000 square foot multi-service facility provided an extensive array of services – aerobics, indoor and outdoor swimming, weight lifting, indoor jogging, a wide variety of exercise classes, a nursery for small children and multiple youth programs. Prairie Life Fitness was designed to appeal to a broad cross-section of men, women and children. Based on the success of their first club, Dean and Bob opened a second facility in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska.
