Pilgrimage Festival Hires Franklin Public Relations Firm

Pilgrimage Festival 2018

Williamson County-based Alday Communications has been hired by Pilgrimage Festival to serve as its local communications liaison. In this role, Alday will help the festival become more engaged in the community on a year-round basis.

“Pilgrimage Festival has become an iconic event for Franklin, drawing visitors – and attention – from across the country,” said Mike Alday, president of Alday Communications. “They’ve made quite an impact here and we want to help them even further deepen their engagement as a true partner for the Franklin community.”

Pilgrimage Festival was first held at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in 2015. The music and cultural festival attracts 25,000 fans each year and has featured performances by Justin Timberlake, Eddie Vedder, Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell and many others. The 2018 festival was cut short due to storms and heavy rain. Despite that, Pilgrimage Festival continues to give back to the community through donations to Friends of Franklin Parks, Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, Music Cares and Dark Horse Institute.

“As we enter year five, we want to reinforce our love and support of the Franklin area,” said Brandt Wood, Pilgrimage Festival co-founder. “Mike and his staff are deeply engrained in the community and will be a great resource as we create a presence for Pilgrimage throughout the year.”

Alday Communications was founded in 1994 in Franklin as a full-service public relations firm. Pilgrimage joins a growing list of Williamson County organizations as clients, including National Seating & Mobility, Battle Ground Academy, Storage Systems Unlimited, Franklin Sports Hall (formerly A-Game), PrideSports, Operation FINALLY HOME and Franklin Housing Authority. These are in addition to Alday’s national clients: PGA of America, Go Bowling, Georgia Boot, Rocky Boots and Durango Boot.

Mike Alday, the company’s principal, has been a resident of Franklin since 1990. He was one of the co-founders and a former president of Franklin Tomorrow and was instrumental in the founding and growth of the new Downtown Franklin Rotary Club. He will join the Williamson Inc. board of directors in January 2019.
