Williamson County Animal Center is recognizing Animal Control Officer Hannah for a successful rescue on Monday night.

Around 7 p.m., ACOs received reports of a stray dog stuck in a hole. The dog appeared injured and had bitten a first responder who tried to help. When Hannah arrived, she safely freed the dog without further incident.

The dog, named Ladybug, turned out to belong to a nearby elderly neighbor who had reported her missing the previous day. She had only made it across the street before becoming trapped in a hole just barely larger than her body. Ladybug had been stuck for more than 24 hours without food or water and was visibly exhausted.

Thanks to Hannah’s quick response, Ladybug is now safe as animal center staff work to reunite her with her owner. The center praised Hannah’s dedication and professionalism, saying she made the team proud.
