The Franklin Band is hosting its first Songwriter Showcase and Silent Auction on Saturday, August 2.
At 6 p.m., the doors will open on an evening of live music and community giving. The showcase will feature a lineup of some of Nashville’s acclaimed songwriters and some of Franklin High’s very own students.
Local songwriters and students will take the stage at 7 p.m., and the main showcase will begin at 7:30 p.m. The silent auction will start at 6 p.m.
“We’re so excited to bring the community together for a night of unforgettable music in support of an incredible opportunity for our students,” said FHS band director Dr. Michael Holland. “This event not only highlights some of the best talent in Nashville, but it also helps fund a once-in-a-generation experience for members of the Franklin Band.”
Ticket cost starts at $50 per person and may be purchased online. All proceeds will go toward the band’s journey to the 2026 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.
The event will take place at Franklin Special District’s Performing Arts Center, which is located at 1030 Excellence Way in Franklin.
