Tennessee Soccer Club's Stuart Brown Wins Coach of the Year

Tennessee Soccer Club’s Stuart Brown was recently named 2018 National Youth Coach of the Year (Boys).

He received his award earlier this month at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago.

In the 2017-18 season, Brown led the 2003 Boys ECNL team on a fantastic journey of development and success. Under his guidance, the team finished in first place in TN State League play and also won the USYS State Cup. In ECNL play, they finished in second place in the South East Conference. The team capped off their wonderful season by winning the Elite National Premier League National Championship in Denver, CO. This was the third consecutive year that a TSC team won a National Championship (2017 and 2016, USYS), all under the leadership of Brown as Executive Director.

“I am grateful to receive this recognition. I’m honored to represent Tennessee Soccer Club, the many colleagues that played a role in my development and most importantly all of my current and former players from the last 19 years,” said Brown.

“We are all very proud of Stuart! He has shown a genuine commitment to the youth soccer community in Greater Nashville and throughout the state of Tennessee and is deserving of this recognition. Having two coaches receive this award in a three year span speaks volumes to the amazing coaches that work in our organization,” added Director of Marketing & Development Taylor Johnson.

This is second time in three years that TSC has had a coach receive National Coach Of the Year recognition, with Ronnie Woodard winning National Youth Coach Of the Year (Girls) in 2016.
