Summit quarterback Ethan Cash threw three first-half touchdown passes, as the Spartans (5-1) beat Page, 35-17, on Friday night.

Cash had scoring strikes to Christian Jolley, Danny Jackson and Tae Carter, and Carter added another rushing score. He completed all four passes he threw for 118 yards.

Carter scored his second touchdown of the night, this one, from 82 yards out, as the Spartans took a 28-3 lead early in the third quarter. He ended the evening with 18 carries for 198 yards.

Page (4-2) got its first touchdown when Bubba Johnson scored on a 2-yard run to cut the margin to 18.

Johnson, the Patriots’ workhorse running back, carried 19 times for 147 yards.

Page quarterback Jacob Van Landingham completed 15-of-25 passes for 141 yards, an interception and a touchdown. That came to Will Pierce with 3:37 left in the game.

Summit’s Robert Holmes ended the scoring after recovering a fumble off a sack of Van Landingham.

A 25-yard field goal by Bryson Stremler put Page up 3-0 in the first quarter.

But Summit scored 21 unanswered points on three Cash touchdown passes to take a 21-3 halftime lead. A 24-yard throw to Carter accounted for six of those points.

Page hosts Lincoln County this week, while Summit travels to Franklin County.
