Early Sunday, Arrington Fire & Rescue was dispatched to an iPhone crash notification near Murfreesboro Road and Wilson Pike. Crews located a vehicle with heavy front-end damage and one person trapped inside.
Rescue personnel stabilized the vehicle and used e-draulic cutters and spreaders to free the patient. Two people were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Middle Tennessee Electric inspected a damaged metal utility pole, and Arrington crews cleared debris from the roadway before clearing the scene. This was the fifth overnight call in the past six nights for Arrington firefighters.
